The first international trip was to Cuba, and the second one to Italy, both to take pictures for editorials of magazines meant for adolescent public.
The next step was to try her luck in Japan in 1995. Gisele stayed there for about three months.
After coming back to São Paulo, she kept on doing the castings and little by little jobs started turning up.
In 1996, the possibility of going to New York came up. From then on, she started searching for opportunities on the international market and the plane became her home.
